The Chief Science Officer (CSO) Program is an international initiative dedicated to elevating student voices through leadership opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). This program cultivates a diverse network of student leaders, encouraging active engagement and collaboration. By enriching your school’s STEM culture, the CSO Program raises awareness of STEM careers and empowers students to amplify their voices within the community, making a lasting impact on the future of STEM education.ive change in their schools, communities, and beyond.
ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
Leadership Training Institute (LTI): Builds skills in networking, leadership, communication, and team collaboration while introducing program goals.
Year-Round Support: Ongoing training with vetted STEM professionals and access to international CSO events and coaching.
Advisor Engagement: Regular bi-weekly meetings and collaboration through G-Suite to track progress and stay connected.
Cabinet Meetings: Opportunities to collaborate with business and civic leaders, strengthening communication, confidence, and problem-solving.
Community Engagement: Development and implementation of action plans, participation in community meetings, and leadership in outreach activities.
STEM Professional Coaching: Guidance from regional experts to help CSOs amplify their voice and make an impact in their schools and communities.
